A 12-year-old Boy Shoots His Cousin by Accident and is Now Charged With Murder

According to several reports, a little child of twelve years old has been charged with manslaughter and homicide in connection with the shooting death of his cousin, who was also a teenager, in the borough of Brooklyn.
According to the Deputy Commissioner of Public Information for the New York Police Department, the incident took place on Sunday. At approximately 10:24 in the morning, a call was placed to the police regarding a person who had been shot.
Although the police have not confirmed that the victim and the shooter are connected, it has been reported by WNBC and WPIX that the two individuals are cousins.
Additionally, according to WNBC, the youngsters were reportedly playing with a gun at the time that the adolescent was shot.
The suspect, who is 12 years old, is also charged with possessing weapons.
The youngster, who was 14 years old, was found by the police unconscious and with a gunshot wound to the chest. The kid was transported by emergency medical services to Brookdale University Hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
Eventually, the victim was determined to be Josai Guy by the police.
Manslaughter, recklessly causing death, criminal negligent homicide, and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree were the charges that were brought against the 12-year-old boy on the same day. The police have not disclosed the identity of the boy.
The victim, Josai, was a good child who frequently played with his pals at basketball courts in the neighborhood, according to neighbors who spoke with WNBC. Josai was 14 years old.
