According to the agency, an individual was apprehended by the Secret Service on Monday evening subsequent to a vehicle colliding with a White House gate.

Fire and EMS, the Secret Service, and the D.C. Police are all providing assistance with the investigation. The police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. This is not the first vehicle collision to occur in the vicinity of the White House. A rented cargo truck collided with a White House-area security barrier in May.
According to It was Guglielmi there might be problems with traffic where 15th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW meet. This is on the eastern side of the White House complex, close to the Treasury Building.
Traffic Closures Lifted
Guglielmi tweeted shortly after 7:30 p.m. that the vehicle had been cleared from the site and that traffic closures in the vicinity would be lifted. He stated that the driver is still in custody while the inquiry is ongoing.
The White House fence has been renovated in recent years, including increased height. In 2021, the National Park Service erected a 13-foot fence with bigger, stronger poles to try and dissuade jumpers from climbing over it.
